5. How do you handle the evaluation/purchase/installation/configuration of new network switches,
workstations, servers, & printers?
6. What applications do you use and who uses them?
7. Do you have all proper licenses obtained and available for review in case
of an audit?
8. Have your employees down loaded unlicensed applications for which you may
be responsible?
9. Who controls access to your important and confidential company data?
10. Do you have specific policies and procedures in place that grants and terminates
access to critical company information?
11. Do you have Internet, E-Mail, Network, & Computer usage policies in place
prohibiting what would be considered as unethical, illeagal, degrading, harrassing
& discriminatory usage of company owned resources? Are you aware the lack of
such policies may indicate "implied consent" of such usage, making your company
liable for damages for such usage by your employees?
11. Is critical company data backed up on a consistant basis?
12. Has the backup been tested within the last 6 months?
13. Do you have an insurance policy at an appropriate compensation level for lost
data?
14. Who evaluates, implements, and maintains existing or new software to see
if it meets your business needs?
15. Are you able to get non-biased technical advice for all of your IT needs on
a confidential basis?
